Yes it can plot polynomial functions, however don't forget to put multiplication sign (*). In your example you missed the multiplication operator. You should type this instead:
3*x^3+x^2+5*x+5
Try it and let me know how it went.

Can Graphing Calculator 3D plot polynomial graphs? I tried graphing this:
3x^3+x^2+5x+5
But it gave invalid input error msg!
