## Re: Got questions about Smart Math Calculator?

I am having trouble with the IN function. The problem I am trying to solve is:

In3=52tIn(1.0961538) where t= # of years. It is giving me a decimal and that is incorrect. The problem reads like this:

How long will it take money to triple if it is investd at 5% compounded weekly? 8.7% compounded continuously?

I punch the problem in exactly this way but it will not give me the correct answer. Instead, it tells me that there is no answer at this range. Now it will give me an answer when I type it in this way:

In3=In(1.0961538)^52t; but it is the incorrect answer. I have already checked it. What am I doing wrong?

Please email me back at bradsbabygirl_1981@yahoo.com and let me know. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Alicia S.

## Re: Got questions about Smart Math Calculator?

You missing some operators and also typing IN instead LN.

When I type this:

ln(3)=52*t*ln(1.0961538)

I get this result:

t = 0.2301245296143127175125356427887093809826

Does this answer sound right to you?
